The Commercial Real Estate Opportunity Fund of Southwest Florida, LLC (the ‘CoREO Fund’) has been formed to acquire income producing commercial real estate (CRE) properties located predominantly within Collier and Lee counties of Florida (or SWFL). The Fund intends to purchase CRE with strong fundamentals but distressed and undervalued due to temporary market illiquidity. CRE investment opportunities targeted by the Fund will benefit from a capital infusion and de-leveraging and it is believed will offer the potential for significant value addition in a three to five year time horizon. This is especially true for those properties owned or controlled by financial institutions (or the FDIC) which have a time sensitive disposition requirement.
